Where Liberty Dwells

Another short script that I wrote in my undergraduate. The module required us to specifically write a script set in America, and at the time it was in the wake of the murder of George Floyd, so I figured I'd write about police brutality.

In 1990 Mississippi, Vietnam veteran Noah's quiet life is shattered when he becomes entangled in a web of racial violence after discovering a kidnapped Hispanic boy in the trunk of a police chief's car. As dark secrets from his war past collide with the present-day horrors of small-town prejudice, Noah must confront his own guilt while navigating a moral wasteland where justice and liberty have become twisted beyond recognition.
